POLICIES OWNERSHIP Umpokan Na! is the sole property of De La Salle Lipa, which thus has the right to accept, modify or delete, through a designated Site Administrator, any records, fields or images submitted by user account holders. As owner of Umpokan Na!, De La Salle Lipa reserves the right to modify the design or altogether terminate the existence of the web site if and when it deems necessary. MEMBERSHIP Any bona fide alumnus or alumna of De La Salle Lipa, from whatever Level (Elementary, Secondary, Tertiary or Graduate Level) may obtain a user account at Umpokan Na!. Personnel of De La Salle Lipa (faculty or staff), whether part-time or full-time, may also get user accounts regardless of whether they graduated from DLSL or not. Former members of the faculty or staff who have resigned or retired from the school will also be granted user accounts. Persons who have never been associated with De La Salle Lipa in any capacity are NOT to be granted user accounts. Anyone who has been briefly associated with De La Salle Lipa but who did stay long enough to graduate from an academic program may write for a special privilege to the Site Administrator (umpokan.admin@lasalipa.edu.ph), explaining why he or she is interested in obtaining an account. To obtain user accounts, one must supply all the required details in an online form that comes after this page. The form will not be processed until all the required fields are properly filled out. When accomplished, all submissions will be verified for authenticity by a designated Site Administrator. A user account becomes eligible for logging in and out of this web site only after approval has been granted by the Site Administrator. Each individual is allowed only ONE user account. Any user account that contains falsified personal information or was created by a person pretending to be somebody he or she is not will be deleted, even if it has already been approved by the Site Administrator. SITE USE User postings which contain foul or abusive language will not be permitted by the Site Moderator. Users discovered to have posted pornographic digital pictures (or any images which may be deemed offensive or inappropriate by school authorities) will have their accounts deleted. All submitted e-mail user accounts will be included in the mailing list for De La Salle Lipa's official e-newsletter, SADYÂ. No user account will be used by the school for commercial purposes nor sold to organizations that conduct commerce over the Internet. Members are prohibited from using the web site's e-mail sending tool for commercial purposes. Anyone found to have done so will have his or her user account deleted. All postings are to be subject to moderation by the Site Administrator for the editing and verification of content. Members are expected to report objectionable postings to the Site Moderator. DISCLAIMER While the Site Administrator will attempt to verify the authenticity of information posted by members, De La Salle Lipa takes no responsibility whatsoever for whatever consequences may occur as a result of erroneous information posted by members. Although this web site will be strictly moderated, the sheer volume of expected web site transactions will, in most likelihood, prevent the checking and supervision of all user accounts. Hence, De La Salle Lipa takes no responsibility for objectionable text or images that may be posted by users and viewed over the Internet before these are discovered and deleted.
